The Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner

The Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner is Judi Jones, a lawyer who is highly qualified in dispute resolution.

Judi has a wealth of experience gained from working in organisations such as the Advertising Standards Complaints Board and the Massey University Dispute Resolution Centre.

She is also a former chair of the Consumers' Institute and was a representative on the electricity industry's Grid Security Committee.

Ms Jones has a law degree and a masters in Business Studies with distinction in dispute resolution. She was appointed to establish the office of the commissioner in January 2002. The office in Wellington now employs 17 people.
